Hello,
I received an email from Canon about two weeks ago regarding a potential issue with the mode dial on my EOS R50. A few days ago, the mode dial on my camera broke, just as the email described. I would like to have it repaired under the programme mentioned.
Could you please advise me on the process to send my camera in for repair? I am located in Guyana and want to make sure I follow the correct steps.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Oh, did you not tell them that it was their fault? You could've saved $350...

I understand. They probably had a condition about tampering with it.

I mean I assumed they would check the serial number and realise it was apart of the faulty line. But I did explain how it did pop off after I just tried to turn it on then I tried super gluing it.

Did the superglue leave the white residue, is that how they knew? Or did you tell them you tried using superglue?

Told them but I think the residue was also there
