Best Silhouette Settigs

RooDog

I've taken a few silhouettes I liked to use with multiple exposures. But the silhouettes were random luck shots. I open the front door, have my dog in the house, shooting pointing out the door. The bright outside usually silhouettes some. I tried bracketing, but orten I get, gray background dark image, or outside exposed and dog too dark. Or dog exposuse but outside washout... Now and then its perfect... Dog is mostly  black with slight definition, sharp, silhouette, backgroud motly white with some faded, lightly color, texture.

What's the best settings to get this look? Thanks

As long as you do not have absolute control over the amount of light, then there is no one set of settings that will always work.
