Did you mean:

80D won’t select TV or AV mode

My Canon 80D has been a fantastic camera for 5-6 years however recently I can no longer turn the mode selection to AV or TV shooting modes. I have tried multiple lenses so I believe the problem is at the camera. Any advice?

Please clarify. Do you mean the mode dial won't turn to those settings or the camera doesn't respond when the mode dial is set to those positions?

The changing dial will spin but the mode just jumps back to another mode instead of progressing from P to AV then TV. Basically it will only allow auto mode, P, and a custom mode. Thanks!

Is the camera in stills or video mode. If in stills all modes should be available for use.

The mode dial is a rotary switch, simply. Either the switch is malfunctioning or the camera's electronics beyond the switch are malfunctioning.  A lens has nothing to do with it.

In any case, it needs service by Canon if they still will, or an independent servicer.

Thanks. I think you are correct as I’ve tried everything else possible.
