I have an 80D that I use for shooting video mainly, and it works great for that. However, when I switch into photo mode, I have no live shoot preview on the screen. I have verified that the setting is on, however I don't hear the mirror switch when I toggle it. But I can toggle into video mode and get a live preview no problem. I've reset and updated the firmware but am still having no luck.
I bought this off ebay about 6 months ago from someone who used it for photography, so I have to believe that it did work at one time.
*Edit* I can connect my phone to the camera via wifi and get a live preview both on my phone and the camera, but once I disconnect, the shutter flips back down and I get no live preview.
