I have a new 70D and just attempted to move some pictures to my laptop via a USB cable.  I have tried many things that various internet locations advised with no success.  I give up!!  Any ideas out there??  I will go to Pro Photo on Tue. where I bought the camera and plead my case but would sure like some help here.   Thanks

Have you installed the Canon software that came with the camera and used EOS Utility?

Doesn't your laptop have a card reader?  I highly recommend using a card reader over hooking up a USB cable.  But if you prefer/need to do it via USB cable, you have to have the Canon software loaded, as John said.
