Well, I opened the camera. The aperture wheel didn't turn out to be what I expected. If I want to get it fixed, I think I will need to replace the whole main dial part.

I didn't understand your original question but there is no way you should have "opened it up". IMHO, of course.

For example. I am in the menu and using the main dial. If I scroll it six times, the menu will only move five times. Sometimes it works like a charm, sometimes not.

I suppose the part costs more than I want to spend. I will live with this minor fault until I buy a 5DIV...
