Hello, I am trying to set up a remote control to fire, but it is not showing the option with control to select, only with the timer. I updated the firmware but it did not work. Is there any other configuration for this?

Well, I managed to make the controls appear.
But I'm not really sure what the specific change is to do this.

1) I updated the camera firmware (but did not change the option)

2) Reset the camera settings. This made the camera show the controls. (like in the picture).

But I do not know which option activates or deactivates this function, does anyone know?

Thanks

I think that is how it works.  You must set the camera to self timer mode, 2 seconds or 10 seconds, to use a wired remote.

I think for wireless remote, you must set camera to self timer mode but you don't have to when using wired remote.

The symbols you now see are for Infrared remote like the RC-6 only You may have been playing around with Bluetooth remote, and according to the manual, that would disable the Infrared remote.
