5D mkIV continuous shooting in live view is slow when using a flash

Hi, I've encountered an issue when using my 5D in live view mode. The high speed continuous shooting does not work with a flash mounted, I think it shoots around 1.5 fps. This problem does not exist when shooting through the viewfinder or in live view with the flash turned off.
I assume it's an issue in the settings, but I haven't been able to solve it. Does anybody in here know what might be the cause and how to fix it?
The flash is a Godox V350C in manual mode.

I have made sure the shutter speed is correct, and the issue is still present. I also tested it on my Canon 60D, which did not have the issue, does that mean it is the 5D? If so, do I reinstall/update the firmware or would I have to send it in for repair?

Is the camera auto focusing between shots?  The AF in Live View is not as fast as using the OVF.

That could definitely do it, but I am using manual focus most of the time. This is an issue I found while trying to do a macro focus stack in a position where I couldn't get my head, so everything was in manual. And I suppose the flash shouldn't make a difference if it was the AF...

I’ve trying to understand the description of your issue.  Are you saying that the slowdown issue occurs whenever you the Godox, no matter if you use he OVF or LV?

Did anyone ask what power setting are you using?  I checked the specs.  Your flash has a recycle time that varies between 0.1 to 1.7 seconds.  What is the recycle time for your power setting?

Hi. Now, it only slows down in LV. Through the viewfinder there is no issue.
I am using between 1/8 and 1/32 power, and  while I do get some dark frames at 1/8 shooting continuously, it is able to keep up. More importantly, the camera does not slow down and wait for the flash to charge, so that should not affect the shooting rate.

Hi!
Just to make sure, you set the mode on the flash and not in the camera, right? I have tried messing around with the flash settings in the camera, but have not found something that works in there. But maybe there is a miscommunication from using the flash settings on the flash on the 5D and not the 60D... Doesn't sound too likely, but I have tried so many things now that I'm ready to believe weird things 😅

Correct, just on the flash.
