Hi All,
I hope someone may have a solution for this. My camera's LCD suddenly stopped working when first turned on. It doesn't matter what I press, nothing gets it to come on. It only starts working once I change shooting modes and back. For instance, turning on while on Manual, nothing works. Then switching to another mode, then back to Manual, it starts working.
I've already tried resetting to factory settings and still no dice. Any thoughts?

Also just noticed it doesn't seem to auto power off even when set to 1 minute.

Hi Op, which LCD screen are you referring to the rear LCD screen or the top LCD screen.

Hi there, I'm referring to the rear LCD screen, the one used for live view

Does the LCD screen work in live mode or video mode. Are any 3rd party items being used IE Lens, speedlite or batteries. If so try again with the camera from the factory configuration.

Hi there,
I’ve tried with all factory and third party. Nothing works. Live view, etc only works once I’ve switched modes (manual, aperture mode, then back to manual for example). Otherwise nothing allows the screen to turn on at all. It’s still functioning though cause the top LCD works and I can make adjustments

Do the Info, playback and "Q" buttons make the screen turn on. Have you tried different CF and SD cards if your using both card slots. Is the camera's firmware up to date.

Those buttons don’t do anything to trigger the screen to come on unless I do the same mode change. I’ve also tried other cards and still no dice.

Is the firmware up to date. The current firmware is 1.3.3 is your camera updated to this version. Will the camera still shoot and show pictures after the picture has been taken. Are you using full size to micro-SD card adapter. Only use regular size SD cards.
