550D: No "time zone" option in menu

Hello fellow Canon users!

I need to change the time zone on my camera, but after having gone through all the possible menu items a dozen times, I can't seem to find the "time zone" option. Am I simply blind or do I need to tweak some setting? I am using firmware version 1.0.9.

Any and all help is most appreciated!

From looking at the instruction manual and at the menus on my wife's 550D, it appears that that camera does not keep track of the time zone.

Thanks for your reply, Bob! This is a twist I had not expected. I have only recently started uploading all my photos to Google Photos. The timestamps get messed up because I'm in a non-GMT timezone and I have to fix them all individually. Ah well. Maybe it's time to consider a more up-to-date body.

I don't think any of the Canon Rebels allow for time zone. Why bother? You can just set the time for the time zone you are in.
