Buying an RF 28-70mm IS STM: Used or new?

I have a EOS R6M2 that I want to purchase the above lens to use with this camera. I have found a used RF 28-70mm IS STM lens at Adorama. It is rated Excellent Plus. Would you buy this lens with this rating from Adorama? Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

I would consider the following:

1. is there a return policy?

2. what is the price compared to a new lens?

3. would you want an extended warranty? Canon CarePAK would not apply to a used lens.

  Been on a waiting list for two months at Canon for a refurbished RF 28-70mm for $770

Adorama offers 180 day warranty and many here have purchased from them as well recommended them to others on the site, they are an authorized Canon supplier. Used products include a free Adorama 180 day warranty that covers defects in manufacturing only. This warranty excludes damage from wear and tear, misuse, accidents, loss, or theft.

It's a nice lens, the price is right so it seems like a good decision. I've purchased used gear and I inspect it well upon receipt make sure I use the heck out of it to see if there are issues. Shoot a bunch of frames and review the images to make sure there are no anomalies. If you see any issues send it back but pressure test it right away.

I hope it in some way helped Reese. I looked at KEH and MPB for the same lens when you posted and Adorama had the best price for lenses in the same condition.

I have dealt with Adorama several times over the years and found them to be a good source. I even got to know one of the sales reps pretty well. I am sure she is retired by now.
