Buying an RF 28-70mm IS STM: Used or new?

All,

I have a EOS R6M2 that I want to purchase the above lens to use with this camera. I have found a used RF 28-70mm IS STM lens at Adorama. It is rated Excellent Plus. Would you buy this lens with this rating from Adorama? Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

"... would be curious to hear from others, is had to ever USE the third-party warranty."

I never buy extended warranties mostly because a lot of the time they aren't worth the paper they are written on. Just look at how much trouble those big car warranty companies are in. Multimillion dollar lawsuits and settlements. They know how to wiggle out of anything.

EOS 1DX and many lenses.

I purchased a Canon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS USM EF from KEH several years ago and used the warranty. The lens performance overall was not impressive. The focus was slow and regardless of the aperture the corners were very soft, overall I would say my images were consistently soft. With zero hassle KEH took the lens back and allowed me to exchange it for a Sigma 18-300mm that I absolutely loved, performed perfectly on all my bodies. Today my daughter has the lens and my 60D and both still perform flawlessly.
