T6i compatible with Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8L IS USM lens?

Hi all! 
I have a canon T6i and looking into purchasing a better zoom lens. 
I know someone thats selling a Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8L IS USM lens and wasn’t sure if this would be compatible with my camera? 
any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
