Squeaking noise - RF 15/35

My RF 15/35 lens for the past year has made a squeaky noise when af is between 1 and infinity. I remember shooting outside when it was drizzling rain and a little rain got on my lens

It still autofocus fine to this day but it makes that squeak noise that you can hear loud on playback when recording video which is a bit annoying

I have a link to a video of my lens

I suggest that you contact Canon Support before it gets worse or the lens fails.

Did you get your issue fixed with your 15-35 lens? Mine makes the same sound in almost the whole range in manual focus. In auto it squeaks too, but not as much.

Greetings,

I've replied to your thread.  As suggested here, the lens should be returned to Canon for inspection and repair.
