Newby Lens Question

Hi all, new here. Can someone tell me if the Canon RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 Lens will work on my Canon EOS R8?

Will an adapter be needed?

Looking to create video walk-throughs for realtors and need to get some wide angles.

Thanks for any help here! 😁

Yes it will but the lens IS NOT designed for use on Full Frame cameras. Using an APS-C lens on a Full Frame camera reduces the megapixels by a factor 2.56x. The camera is 24 megapixels in Full Frame mode but in APS-C Mode its only 9.5 megapixels in APS-C Mode. That lens is also a standard zoom lens for APS-C not a wide angle zoom lens. How much is your budget to spend on a lens that is fully compatible with your camera. Your camera should've came with a lens.

You have a few wide-angle choices that will work well with your camera. Check the Canon lenses on the website, and make sure to select RF mount, not RF-S.
