Many of you know I have been pondering buying a Sigma 150-600mm lens for my T7. Got an email that it is on sale for $729, regular $899. They also have other things on sale. One might look at their website. I signed up for their email notices just a couple of weeks ago.

Merry Christmas to me! And thanks to all who have replied to my posts for this item.

Ordered the lens a while ago. Good thing as the offer ends at midnight.

Now learning really starts. At 600mm, or 960mm on your camera, the tactical problems are increased proportionally by the same amount. Take your time, enjoy the journey.

Thanks, guys. Hmm. 960? I'm missing some math somewhere. How do you figure that, EB? Curious. Better than I thought! Earlier posts have cautioned about camera shake with a high power lens. Have a monopod and tripod.

Your T7 is an APS-C format camera which has a 1.6 crop factor.

600mm x 1.6 crop factor = 960mm

Getting ready to plow through the manual and the illustration for various components of the lens. Need to start working out to carry the camera, lens and tripod!
