Those crazy little bots are just messing with you.  I use that one as well as many others on my 90D. All EF lenses work on the 90D.

Canon 90D lens compatibility chart

EF lens

Fits all EOS cameras

Natively fits:

  • Full frame EOS DSLR (and SLR)
  • APS-C EOS DSLR cameras

Via adapter:

  • EOS M-series (adapter EF-EOS-M)
  • EOS R-series (adapter EF-EOS R)

Mount mark = Red dot

If you buy it you will end up with the equivalent zoom of somewhere around 112-480mm on the APS-C sensor.

Thanks for your quick response- it's just what I thought- but wanted to spare the online hassle

Maybe the "bot" thinks that since the 90D is an APS-C body it can ONLY use EF-S lenses.

Of course we sentient beings know that ALL EF and EF-S lenses work on ALL Canon DSLRs , except for a few oldies, like the EOS 10D for example.

Oops! I misspoke. EF lenses work on (almost) ALL DSLRs. EF-S lenses work on ALL APS-C (crop-sensor) bodies.

This is the message I'm getting from the Canon website in the UK. I've checked they have the right  camera, and it's eos90d.

Greetings,

You'll love this lens.  Here is a series where I used it adapted on my R5 C.  Wonderful lens, very sharp.
