I have an EOS M6 and the EF-M 11-22mm is not working on it. The camera shows a blinking green light and the screen has no image. When I put my 50mm lens on the camera it works just fine. Any ideas or suggestions?

Did that lens once work ok with the camera or is it recently a acquired lens?

It once worked with the camera. I got the 2 lenses when I bought the camera.

Do you have a filter or other device screwed onto the front of the lens? If so, try removing it.

No, no filter on it

It is looking like the lens needs to be sent in for repair. You should compare the cost of repair to a new or used lens to see if it is cost effective.

I"ll have to do that. I haven't found the lens under the cost of $399

You can get that lens refurbished from Canon right now for $320. In my experience buying a refurbished lens from Canon is practically like buying a brand new one.

I had the exact problem with a refurbished by Canon lens. I RMA'd it and the replacement is supposed to be here tomorrow. Hope this one works.

I'm having the exact same issue with my M5 and 11-22. It started while I was using it too - just gave up. It gives me a blinking green light for about 30 seconds with a blank screen, then the screen comes on, MF and no f/stop reading or control. Other lenses work fine. What did you end up doing?
Thanks!
