EF 24-70 ft2.8 L USL II err1 when i use more than f2.8

Hi,

I am facing a issue with the lens connected to R7 with adopter, Lens works absolutely working fine with 24 mm and any f from 2.8 to 22 etc, but when the Focal length is more than 30 and f3.5 or more it gives err1.

Please suggest if it is compatibility issue or real lens problem.

Sounds like a broken flex cable.
