For me this would be a simple choice. The primary contender would be the RF 24-70 F2.8, second, the RF 28-70 f2.
The 24-70 was my first RF lens. I've had it a couple of years now. It's traveled the world with me and consistently performs. Although my body doesn't support focus breathing, it does shoot really nice video. You know you've bought the right camera or lens when it's still excites you to use it after years of ownership. The 28-70 is also a great lens but is heavier. It was actually released before the RF 24-70. I contemplated about a week before choosing. In the end I went with the lighter lens. It spends a great deal of time on my camera. It provides excellent performance for stills and video, and gives all of the subject separation and bokeh I need wide open. The 24-105 f4 has a little more reach and although there's only one stop between f4 and f. 2.8, The wider aperture offers better melt away with closer backgrounds. This is really a matter of personal preference, the difference is very slight. The corner to corner sharpness between the two lenses is only noticeable if you peep. I purchased the Trinity so that I would never have to worry about aperture. I can be outside and then walk indoors to a museum and capture just about anything I need regardless of available light. So my choice between the 24 and 28 was based strictly on weight. For others the extra stop between f2 and f2.8 might be the deciding factor.
