Hi,
I was just gifted a PIXMA MX922 and the screen is blank and the error icon is on. I have tried unplugging, pressing stop, and power at the same time, and nothing has worked to restart. Every time I turn it off and on, the screen is blank. Has anyone had this issue and is there anything I can do to save this printer. I really need a printer and need to know if I should just buy one. Thanks!

Please make sure that your PIXMA MX922 is connected directly to a wall outlet and not connected to a power strip/surge protector. Once connected directly to a wall outlet, please turn your PIXMA MX922 on. If the screen is still blank, your PIXMA MX922 would require service. You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
