Greetings. I just bought a Canon MF2522, 3 in 1, home printer. I am especially interested in scanning. When I scan, my document is automatically saved as a pdf, which I am not able to manipulate. Can documents be saved simply as documents? If so, how. Thank you.

The PIXMA MG2522 is not bundled with software that allows for editing documents that have been scanned.

There are various software applications that will perform this.  Examples would be the full version of Adobe Acrobat or the full version of Microsoft Word.  For assistance with those programs, a simple web search using the topic "edit scanned documents" or contacting that software developer is recommended.
