mg6120 grayscale

I am on a macbook os x 10.10.5 with a mg6120 printer.  I am trying to set up a default grayscale print option.  The old way of going under textedit- print- drop down textedit doesn't work because the drop down menu isn't there. I've exhausted my ability to search other options.. any ideas?

Check to make sure that the latest CUPS Printer drivers are installed for the unit in order to access the grayscale option and other features.  Visit the following link to download the latest drivers:
