I keep getting a message when trying to print that there is a paper jam. I put paper in, and it runs through just fine. I unplugged it and waited 10 mins and plugged it back in. I tried to hold the button down to do a reset and it nothing happened. I have barley used this printer and am ready to be thrown away. I've watched every YouTube video on the face of the earth and done everything from cleaning it to holding buttons down to running paper and cardboard through the printer. Right after turning on the printer and it grabs the paper and runs it through it starts to flash orange. Canon Pixma Ip 8720. For the love of all that is good please give me something helpful that I have not tried.

Hi,
Since the reset does not resolve the issue, your IP8720 would require service.
f the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.

What is the reset? I fell I might not have gotten a proper instruction for a real reset. I'd be willing to try one or time if you have instruction on the IP8720 reset.
