Hi,
I'm printing with the Pixma ix6520. When the light flashes every 2 to 3 seconds on the cartridge, does it have to be replaced immediately, or is that just a warning? Will it flash faster as it approaches empty?
Thanks,
Anthony

I contacted Canon and got this prompt reply:
Thank you for your E-mail inquiry regarding your PIXMA iX6520.
When the ink tanks light start to flash, it is indicating that the ink tanks are low on ink. When the ink tanks become empty, the lights will flash faster.
We recommend replacing the ink tanks when they are empty. Leaving empty ink tanks inside the printer may damage the print head by clogging it.
