Ink Cartridges 240 & 241 show "Fine Cartridge" what is the Cartridges listed as: "XL" ?

In my reasently purcgased Canon MX452 printer the ink cartridges list as  "Color 241 Fine Cartridge", the Black list as "Black 240 Fine Cartridge" Looking for replacement cartridges most show only "XL", what does this "XL" stand for ?
