Why do scans on my MX870 and using the ADF have a grey coloured vertical line on the right hand side of the image, but do not have the line when I use the Platen scan facility?
I have read other posts with the same problem and it has been suggested that the rollers and/or glass made need to be cleaned. If cleaning was the solution to the problem, why does the line not appear when scan is done with the original document placed on the glass plate but only when the ADF is used?
