White lines on PIXMA G3770

I've already performed cleaning, deep cleaning, roller cleaning, bottom plate cleaning (there are also black stains on the corners of the paper) multiple times. I mainly print on 200 and 230 gsm glossy photopaper, 108 gsm matte paper, and plain bond papers.

This is most likely a print head issue, regardless of how many cleaning cycles you run.  Run a nozzle check.  If the check shows white lines or anything abnormal then you may want to consider the following

Manual Cleaning of PIXMA G3770 Print Heads

Cleaning the print heads of your PIXMA G3770 can help resolve issues like streaky or faded prints. Here’s a step-by-step guide to manually clean the print heads.

Required Materials

  • Printhead cleaning solution
  • Plastic pipette
  • Small screwdriver (jeweler's type recommended)
  • Magnifying light or glasses
  • Small vise grip pliers (optional)

Cleaning Steps

  1. Prepare the Printer
    • Ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged.
    • Remove the ink cartridges carefully.
  2. Disassemble the Print Head

    • Locate the screws on the print head assembly.
    • Use the small screwdriver to carefully unscrew them. Be cautious to avoid stripping the screws.
  3. Soak the Print Head

    • Use the plastic pipette to apply the printhead cleaning solution directly into the nozzles.
    • Allow it to soak for a few minutes to loosen any dried ink.
  4. Flush the Nozzles

    • Gently squeeze the pipette to force the cleaning solution through the nozzles.
    • Avoid applying too much pressure to prevent damage.
  5. Dry and Reassemble

    • Pat the print head dry with a lint-free cloth.
    • Reattach the print head and secure it with screws.
    • Reinsert the ink cartridges.
  6. Test the Print Quality

    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
    • Print a nozzle check pattern to see if the cleaning improved the print quality.

Important Notes

  • Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for disassembly to avoid damaging the print head.
  • Use only the recommended cleaning solution; other substances may cause damage.
  • Frequent cleaning can deplete ink levels quickly, so perform this only when necessary.
