Hi there,
I have just been given a Pixma MP640 as it was apparently, not working. Bought some ink and hey presto, it seems to do what it says on the box.
I rarely print my photos, usually submit to photo-libraries, so am a bit of a colour printing rookie!
All my photos are sized as A3 and I am attempting to print to A4 gloss paper (and 'Yes,' the sizes set in PhotoShop are correct!) some of my images have an white border as part of the file, others have an black border and most have no border. I have 'tweaked' the white/black border images to look vintage and want the border since there is a 'torn' edge to the image.
If I print with the printer setting 'border,' the white border in the image prints more than the actual file has, (so I assume the image is being reduced slightly) and the image is not certral on the paper; it's just off by enough to be annoying.
If I print 'borderless' I theoretically should get my image, with the border that is part of the file. But the image is enlarged and again, not central; one or two edges will have a hint of a border, the other two edges will be cropped.
My question is, if I have the paper size set correctly, and the file size is also A (whatever), how do I print what I see on the screen rather than uneven borders?
Thanks
Rex
