Hi. I have a Pixma G3610 multifunction inktank. In the last few days the head has started striking the page. It not only leaves ink smears but actual impressions in the page. At first it was only slight so I switched on the avoid abrasion setting which worked well but it has worsened leaving many ink marks on the page. It makes a bad sound as it goes back and forth on the paper, across the ribbed platen underneath. Is there someway to adjust the head height or has my printer suffered a failure of some sort?

Greetings,
The Paper Abrasion setting is the only option avaiable that adjusts the distance between the printhead and the paper.
If your printer is under warranty, I would contact Canon for assistance. If not, you can still contact them to see what other options you might have.
