Just purchased a MX922 and have been unable to finish the setup process due to printhead alignment/nozzle issues. I get to Step 3.8 to perform the Print Head Alignment with the MP 101 paper andwhen the process runs the page is blank and I get an error code 2500. Please help!

Hi rdjconsult,
Please try performing a manual printhead alignment with your PIXMA MX922:
1. Make sure that your PIXMA MX922 is turned on.
2. Make sure that three or more sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper are loaded in the cassette (lower).
3. Open the paper output tray by holding both sides of the paper output tray, gently open it.
4. Extend the paper output support.
5. Press the MENU button on your PIXMA MX922.
6. Select Setup and press OK.
7. Select Maintenance and press OK.
8. Select Manual head alignment and press OK.
9. Select Yes and press OK. The alignment page will print.
10. When the message "Did the patterns print correctly?" appears, confirm that the pattern is printed correctly, select Yes, then press the OK button.
11. Look at the first pattern and adjust the print head position. Check the printed patterns, and use the left or right button to input the number of the pattern in column A that has the least noticeable vertical streaks. If it is difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that produces the least noticeable vertical streaks.
12. Repeat the same procedure until you finish inputting the pattern number for columns B to H, then press the OK button. For columns G and H, pick the setting that produces the least noticeable horizontal streaks at the position indicated by an arrow.
13. Confirm the message, then press the OK button. The second pattern will print.
14. Look at the second pattern and adjust the print head position. Check the printed patterns, and use the left or right button to input the number of the pattern in column I that has the least noticeable vertical streaks.
15. Repeat the same procedure until you finish inputting the pattern number for columns J to P, then press the OK button.
16. Confirm the message, then press the OK button. The third pattern will print.
17. Look at the third pattern and adjust the print head position. Check the printed patterns, and use the left or right button to input the number of the pattern in column a that has the least noticeable horizontal stripes.
18. Repeat the same procedure until you finish inputting the pattern number for columns b to h, then press the OK button.
The manual adjustment of the print head position is complete.
19. When the completion message appears, press the OK button.

Hi jonboettner,
Please turn your PIXMA MX922, wait 5 minutes and then turn it back on.
Are you able to press the MENU button so that you can select Setup then Maintenance?
