TR8620 front paper cassette stuck

TR8620 front paper cassette (tray) is stuck -- doesn't pull out. I can't find anything in all of the so-called support options. I have found two solutions online (outside the Canon website) but neither work. These were 1) use a 6" wide piece of cardboard to push against the back of the tray, and 2) pull the tray up and to the left when pulling out.

Sounds like something is jammed or tray was installed crooked.

All you can do is look for any foreign material or see how tray is crooked and try to straighten it. Maybe something thinner than cardboard, like a knife, can be slipped between tray and pinter body.

The cassette has been pushed in too far or too hard. Th solution is to carefully stand the printer on its back and first remove the paper output tray, then carefully but slowly and firmly pull both corners of the cassette until it exits the printer. Return the cassette  BUT THIS time; gently but firmly only till you hear it click.
