This printer has two black cartridges: BK (same width as color carts) and PGBK (wide cart). If the PGBK is empty, the printer should continue to print black output using the BK. Is that correct?
My printer is spitting out blank white pages when I print in B/W. Is this as simple as replacing the PGBK?
Thanks!

Hi,
You would need to replace the PGBK cartridge because that is the one used when printing text. The other Black cartridge is used when printing color text or photos.

Hi. I have a similar issue. Because the printer was producing horizontal white streaks after numerous cleanings, I manually cleaned the printer head by running warm water across it. After reinstalling the dried printer head and installing new ink cartridges, my print outputs are completely blank for various document types. The "print test page" also produces blank output. However, printing a "nozzle check pattern" produces all colors without skips, streaks, or spots. I have double-checked the printer head is properly reinstalled. What could be the issue(s)?
