My scanner insists on scanning one A4 page into six or seven pieces. How do I get it to san one A4 page as one page

I was searching for an answer. I was hoping that someone had resolved the same issue I had and it would be already on the community page. I think people who come here are looking for answers on the site. This is where a Google search by people who are having technical issues are led to.
