Accidentally registered PIXMA TR7820 to Canon Canada instead of USA

Kind of a weird question, but I can't seem to find any other place to address this. My friend just bought a Canon AIO (TR7820) and I installed it for him. I signed him up for a Canon account so I could register the printer and sign him up for the ink replacement service, but for some strange reason, his account seems to have been set up on the Canadian website and I can't figure out how to change it to USA. I don't know if I screwed up in the first place or if the website just automatically went there, but I need to fix this so I can register his printer and get him started with the ink program. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance. 😊

Greetings,

If it were possible, only Canon support would be able to move an account from one domain to another.  I suspect however it's not possible.

This is the link for creating an account and registering products in the United States

Hi Rick,

Thank you for your help. I figured out the problem. The printer was actually purchased online from a Canadian vendor "not intended for sale in the United States". So, when I entered the serial # during the setup, that must be why it took me to the Canadian server instead. I only noticed that because when trying to update the address, it only gave me the option for Provinces, not states. Now my firend has to decide whether he wants to return it, or keep it and live without the ink replacement program. Thank you once again for your time & assistance. I greatly appreciate.

Regards,

--- Gary
