Scanner fix for Windows 10

The scanner on my multifunction printer (MF4350) stopped working after Windows 10 installation.  Reinstalled drivers and still no luck.  Finally called Canon support.  They had me do the following, which seems to have worked:

1. In the Settings search window, type "local services" - then select "View Local Services" in the results.

2. In the local services window, scroll down to "Windows Image Aquisition (WIA)".  Double click on that to open the window.

3. On the "General" tab, make sure that Start Up type is set to "Automatic".  If you change it, hit Apply.

4.  Click on the "Log On" tab.  On that tab click on "Local System Account" and check the box that says "Allow Service to Interact with Desktop."  Then click on Apply.

5.  On the "Recovery" tab, where it says "First Failure", click on the menu and select "Restart Service".  Then click on Apply.

Close the windows and retry the scanner function. Mine worked fine after this.
