Replacement for MX870

My MX870 finally died after 20 years of service, and I'm looking for a replacement (Canon or otherwise). I got a Canon Pixma G7020, and it's awful. It's like something out of the 90's. ADF sounds like there's an angry hornet inside it, photo quality is terrible, and the tiny LCD display is almost unreadable. Even the print/scan utility looks like something off of a Windows 98 desktop. 

I really liked the MX870. Is there a similar quality inkjet printer that is not super expensive?
