Printer error paper type

Need some help. Just got the G620 Printer and loving the print quality. The problem I'm having is when I go to lightroom and print a picture I set up the printer in the app for 4x6 and I put the 4x6 paper in the printer but when I go to print I get a error so I have to get up and go to the printer to change the paper size on the little screen. I would think the settings in lightroom would send the pic to the printer and the printer should know what size paper I'm using. I would think once I put in the photo paper the printer should know what size I'm using. Any help to fix this I would appreciate it.
