Any advice on how to fix this printer error? I have already tried turning off and unplugging but it hasn't worked. The ink carriage won't return and googling it has not helped. Now it is completely non-functioning.
Appreciate any good advice from Canon or Community.
Thanks!
Sly

Hi Sly17!
We suggest reaching out to our US-based support team at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) weekdays from 10am to 10pm (ET) for troubleshooting.

Hi Stephen.
I am also getting the 5B00 Error on my Canon MX882. I was going to bring the printer to electronic recycling as it may be cheaper to buy a new print rather than have it serviced.
Before I recycle it I wanted to remove my Wi-Fi password etc. but once I get the error I am unable to reset the printer. I called 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) but the recording said that the printer is no longer supported and I need to use https://www.usa.canon.com/.
Can you please suggest a solution?

Hi JoeyF. Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX882 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.
Hope this helps!
