I am trying to set up my new printer and seem to have run into some glitches. I am using a usb port because I could not configure it wirelessly. the computer keeps saying the printer is being sent a test page, as it is the default printer. But it cannot print that page. I don't know what to do next, I never had such problems with HP. Be advised that Canon Help did try to help me. but I could not afford their expensive fix. I did what I could to resolve the issues they listed and have done everything but change my router name. Got an encrypted IP address and cleared up some other things listed as possible issues. Yet still there is this one. I hope this helps the saint who answers my plea for help. The manual is not really that helpful.
thank you in advance, dear saint.

Hi pinkwitch1,
I'll be happy to help you connect to your PIXMA MG3022..
You can also use the USB cable to set up a wireless connection, which is one of the most secure ways of doing so. There are tutorial videos for both Windows and Macintosh computers. Once completed, you can disconnect the USB cable.

Hi pinkwitch1,
The two videos linked to in the previous message should be pretty self-explanatory, but additional methods for connecting your printer to a wireless network can be found HERE.

thank you,, Bill, but the advice given in the link you provided were not of use to me. They were the same instructions provided by the most unhelpful instruction manual that came with the printer. My machine does not interface to the point where any other thing comes up on my computer. I will follow the OTHER instructions, which are much more clear to me, since it seems to establish a connection assuming that I do not have a wireless connection, AND working knowledge of how to do that with a usb cable.

In the video, where it said to use wireless connection, the next screen says to do something which does not come up for me on the screen: namely: connect using a usb cable. nor does it try to find a connection or say connection failed. When I connect the cable it begins to process it now says to align the print head and nothing happens. Just a pop up that says printer not responding. Now i follwed the intructions and it is not aligning but I skipped both the print test page and that began the driver installation. ( i have been at this point before. )Now it has installed and the menu is on my screen and I have taken the usb cable off (with it on still no printing happens). Do I need to install a driver seperately?
