Pixma iX6820 - Driver Unavailable

llalicon

I recently got a new laptop with Windows 11, and I have been trying to install my Pixma ix6820. I downloaded the software but whenever I try to add the printer, I'm not able to because the driver is unavailable. I've tried downloading the Windows 10 driver but that didn't work either. Am I missing something?

I noticed in other forum posts that Canon no longer updates older printer models, and I see that Windows 11 isn't included in the compatibility section of on the Pixma page. I bought this printer just three years ago and it has been with me through thick and thin. I recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality printer. I used this printer to DIY all my wedding paper materials, years of party DIYs, and one-off projects, and for years, it has never failed me. It would be a shame that I will need to retire this printer just because it is no longer supported.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated as I am absolutely desperate to keep this printer going!

Thanks Stephen! Unfortunately, I've downloaded the full version of driver and software package several times and I still run into the same issue. I even tried downloading the driver options separately and installing them. The Printer Driver Ver. 1.03 doesn't even install, the XPS Printer Driver Ver. 5.75 installs but the driver is still unavailable. Can you advise? Thank you!
