I just bought a TS9521C, and so far the experience has been very frustrating.
I am trying to scan an English-language document to email, in PDF format. The document is a very clear set of three typewritten pages.
If I use the scan utility's "Scan to PDF Editor" function with the resolution set to 300 dpi, the output PDF is approximately 120KB and it looks perfect.
But if I use the utility's "Scan to Email (document)" function, or the equivalent function from the TS9521C's touchscreen -- with the resolution set to 300 dpi in both cases -- the PDF is only 30KB and it looks terrible, as though the 300-dpi setting is being ignored and the scanning is performed at extremely low resolution instead.
Is this a known problem with scanning documents directly to email?
