Hi,
Since there is no paper jam, I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer and let it sit for 60 seconds. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.
If that does not resolve your issue, contact Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST.

Hi loriand
If the steps provided didn't correct the problems, then if you're located in the U.S., contact Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST. If you have not yet done so, you may first need to register the printer at https://mycanon.usa.canon.com/
If you're located outside of the U.S., you may find your regional branch of Canon through the map at https://global.canon/en/support
