I have a Canon Pixma MX 492 which I want to mainly use to scan documents and it does that but each time to moves back and forth it has a grinding noise. == I don't know if that's normal or unusual and if the latter, I'd just as soon replace the thing. Or maybe it needs some sort of W2??? The scans are ok = a bit light but they are of old letters so that's not so surprising But a better resolution might help.
