Hello
I have a Windows 8.1 installed on my computer, with MX492 drivers installed for printing and scanning.
I have on issue in that when I want to scan a document there is no way to save it as a PDF. The only file formats available to save as are: jpg, bmp, tif, png. I have a screen shot and circled the area I am describing. I know there is the Canon Utility to scan and save as a pdf, but I like to use this simpler interface shown in the picture. Is there a way to save as pdf in going this route? The layout shown in the picture is similar to what is on my Mac, but the Mac computer is able to give the option to save as a pdf. Any help would be appreciated

Hi richard7893,
so we can best assist you, please let us know what program/interface you are currently using for scanning. Please be advised I can only provide instructions for Canon software but someone may have a workaround in the forum.
We look forward to your reply.
