My Canon MG7520 was working perfectly until yesterday. It kept shutting itself off yesterday. Today it would start the process of turning on, but turn off before it would get to the menu. I know it's getting older, but it's worked so well until now. Is there anything I can do?

How did you fix this? Same problem with my G670. I cannot even install any driver because it shuts off rightaway.

Exact same thing happened to me. If I unplug my internet and wifi I am able to turn printer on and can print via usb. If I plug wifi and internet back in print shuts off and will not turn back on. I shut my wifi setting off in the printer so it can not automatically connect. This is a work around for now. Canon definitely is doing something via internet with their printers.

This is likely pre-programmed product death. My MG7520 was working perfectly and then suddenly shut off. Now it turns on, tries to start and then shuts off. It is either pre-programmed product demise or the software checks for 3rd party ink and is set to go into a failure. It is shame.

It's really interesting that the same thing is happening to my Canon MG7520 right around the same time yours had this problem. Have you resolved it yet? I try turning it on, it powers up, then after a few seconds, it shuts down.

Disconntecting it from the wifi got mine running. But that seems to be the extent of it for now.

Yep same here. The minute I would reconnect my internet and the printer picked it up it would shut off the printer and I would be back at square one. I ended up resetting my printer back to factory when it was disconnected from internet so it can not pick up the internet anymore and so far it has stayed on. I just have to use a usb now which really makes me mad because I do a lot of printing via wifi.

Pixma Mg7520 - Exact same issue. Turns on and then off when Wifi is connected. Operates when no Wifi is connected. Happened at the exact same time as everyone else. I hope Cannon reads this and fixes whatever is going on with their printers.
