I just got a new Pixma G650. I'm trying to print some photos from my Mac (running latest version of Sonoma), and the colours are awful. Dark and with a yellowish cast. From what I can find online, it seems like this is probably to do with using AirPrint rather than a proper driver, but isn't there any way around it? Have I just wasted a ton of money on a printer that will never work properly with my computer?
FWIW, I have tried exporting from Lightroom into different colour spaces; printing from Preview and from Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint Editor; switching between semi-gloss and glossy papers (and using the right profiles for those); and nothing has helped.
