I'm also facing issue while scan from Canon MF244DW with mf scan Utility , for your reference please find error snap.
In that case login printer console --->Go to settings/Registration ---->system management ----> Remote Scan Settings ---> Turn on Auto Online for Remote Scan.
Issue resolved.
