I've cleaned and deep cleaned this cartridge (it's the large one, 250XL PGBK) but to no avail. When I print a test sheet all the colors show up except the large black one. I just replaced all the ink cartridges and the printer utility shows I have enough ink in all of them. I also cleaned the print head (per instructions on a YouTube video), but it stil doesn't print or copy. I'm at my wit's end to find out how to fix this issue, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful.
Based on your description, you have done everything we would suggest. The issue is with the print head and since the MG5420 was retired, the printer would need to be replaced.
