Paper stops halfway, then Error 6000. CanonTS9521C

My printer is automatically trying to print as soon as I turn on my machine. There are no jams and it will pull in paper from the back (my usual) and go halfway, then stop and it gives me the Error Code 6000. I have tried the unplugging while on, clicking Start 5x, waiting the 60 seconds and turning it back on. Nope, still Error 6000. I love my printer and need it.

Understanding Error 6000 on Canon PIXMA TS9521C

Cause of Error 6000

The Error 6000 on the Canon PIXMA TS9521C typically occurs due to a paper jam or an obstruction that prevents the print head from moving correctly. This can happen when:

  • There is stuck paper inside the printer.
  • Debris is blocking the print head's path.
  • The print head is misaligned.

Troubleshooting Steps

To resolve the Error 6000, follow these steps:

  1. Power Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Check for Paper Jams:

    • Open the printer cover and inspect for any stuck paper.
    • Remove any visible paper or debris.
  3. Inspect the Print Head:

    • Ensure the print head is properly aligned.
    • If it appears misaligned, gently reposition it.
  4. Reconnect and Test:

    • Plug the printer back in and power it on.
    • Attempt to print a test page to see if the error persists.

Additional Tips

  • Regularly check for paper debris and keep the printer clean to prevent future jams.
  • If the error continues after following these steps, consider contacting Canon support for further assistance.
